Rachel Needs a New Home

Are you looking for an energetic and affectionate dog to join your family?

If so, Rachel is the pup for you!

Rachel is a 3-year-old Blue Heeler/Australian Cattle Dog who is intelligent, vibrant, and full of energy. She loves attention and playtime, making her an ideal companion for anyone looking for an active and devoted canine friend. Scratches in between her pointy ears and at the base of her tail are a big favorite. She is very clever but also a little stubborn; if she isn't happy, she's going to vocalize it!

Rachel needs a home where she will get an adequate amount of movement and exercise. She doesn't necessarily need an entire farm to dart around on (though that would be great), any space would work just as long as you're able to let her exercise enough. Walking, running, playing fetch, or swimming are all good options. She is house-trained, spayed, up-to-date on all shots, and crate trained.

Rachel's Temperament

PLEASE RESEARCH BLUE HEELERS and make sure you are compatible with their temperaments! Rachel has a pretty normal temperament as far as Blue Heelers go; She is quite vocal and stubborn. Despite this, she is obedient if you work with her. On top of her Blue Heeler personality quirks, Rachel is an adult dog. As such, she will likely be pretty distressed and act unfavorably until she adapts to her new home. Rachel will need a lot of time, grace, and patience while settling in. However, once she comes around, you will have a best friend for life. Rachel is very loyal and devoted. If you go somewhere, she must come with you. When she sees you at the end of the day, her ears perk up and eyes illuminate. She adores every person (and animal) that she bonds with.

Rachel has varying reactions to other animals. She does not tolerate cats well. She will not react well to other dogs initially. She has to gradually get accustomed to new dogs first. She is very affectionate towards those she is familiar with. Her reaction to animals outside of dogs and cats is unknown, as she's never been around them.
